Tachikoma meets cyber world! Bandai presents their Chogokin line's first-ever toy that can connect to your PC! There's no better character than the lovable AI walker from "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG" to be your desktop companion and interact with your PC. The fully poseable and detailed Tachikoma figure is made of 60-percent die-cast metal and is about 8cm tall by 14cm wide. Other than its movable limbs, its "mouth piece" cover can also be removed to reveal a grenade launcher.
Connect the supplied USB Mini-B cable from the Tachikoma's USB Mini-B port (located at the back of its abdomen pod) to your PC's USB port and the Tachikoma Finder program will start up, showing a Tachikoma agent along with other characters from the show making their appearances at random. Customize your desktop by choosing between five different desktop wallpapers; you can also change some of your desktop icons to Tachikoma icons and activate a special screensaver. There's also a fun Tachikoma mini game to play, too! Another interactive option in the Tachikoma Finder is the voice memo where you have the Tachikoma inform you of the time and date, using your selection of three Japanese phrases (choose from a list of phrases from a drop-down menu) from the show spoken by original seiyuu Sakiko Tamagawa. When connected to your PC, the Tachikoma's front eye sensor will move and the LEDs on its abdomen pod will light up. Sounds will be played through the speaker on the bottom of its abdomen pod.
An installation disc is included with software that you will need to install prior to connecting the Tachikoma to your PC. All text is in Japanese. The software and Tachikoma figure will only work on PCs with a Windows XP Service Pack2/Windows Vista OS (Japanese-language version only), minimum of 1GHz Intel Pentium CPU, have at least 6GB of hard disk space, 512MB and up in memory, and capable of displaying XGA 1024x768 pixels or higher. This item was created for the Japanese market; not guaranteed to be usable outside Japan, so please be sure to check your hardware and software configurations before ordering.
