Arii's Patriot Missile series was originally launched at the time of the Gulf War in 1991, and understandably recorded good sales, as the Japanese news media closely followed the Patriot's performance against Iraqi Scud missiles every day. The completely fictitious tractor has been omitted from this re-release, however. The first kit in the series is the launcher unit of the Patriot system. Moldings are simple, and hard core military modelers will probably find themselves enjoying a bit of extracurricular modeling to increase the level of detail. "Caution" markings in Japanese are included on the decal sheet.
