Product Overview:
This item is an action toy, with some die-cast metal parts, of a science fiction/anime character or item. |
First appearing in Gerry Anderson's theatrical release "Thunderbirds are GO" and later in the first episode of the TV series "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons," the gigantic ZERO-X was a solar system exploration spaceship and the first manned craft to land on Mars.
Produced by Miracle House and distributed in Japan by Aoshima, this large (38cm long with a 25cm wingspan) die-cast model of the ZERO-X features detachable front and rear lifting bodies (wings), retractible landing gear with folding front wingtips, removable heat shield nosecone, deployable Martian Exploration Vehicle (MEV) with retractible working tracks, and a button-activated spring-loaded escape capsule. Also includes a display stand.
This is the "Captain Scarlet" version of the ZERO-X, featuring a slightly different MEV and including a poster from famed Japanese artist Shigeru Komatsuzaki, as well as Komatsuzaki box art.
