Assembly Guide:Skill LevelCement (Y/N)Paint (Y/N)
Product Overview:This item is an injection-plastic airliner model kit. It requires both cement and painting to complete or use.

Here's a real blast (off) from the past! This cool model kit of the Apollo Saturn V moon rocket with Lunar Module was first released in 1969 (the same year as Apollo 11, the first moon landing!), and now has been re-released by the fine folks at Aoshima. The Saturn V features separable stages, with the massive crawler base and launch gantry tower replicated in amazing detail, plus three teeny tiny crew figures. The Lunar Module also features sharp detail and includes two suited astronaut figures. Decals are included. No scale is given for either model, but I would guesstimate based on the parts that the completed Saturn V on its mobile launch platform stands about 20cm tall (to the top of the gantry tower crane), and the Lunar module stands about 6cm tall. Aoshima warns that due to the age of the molds, the kit parts may have "burrs and scuffing," but all the parts looked fine to me, other than showing a wee bit of flash here and there. A great kit of a great subject!
