1/700 IJN Heavy Cruiser Takao 1944 Full Hull

A new tooling of the IJN's 13,400-ton cruiser from the Second World War. The Takao was torpedoed by the US Submarine Darter in October 1944 and nearly sunk. She was towed to Singapore, where she finished the war as an anti-aircraft gun platform. Hit again by a British midget submarine in July of 1945, she was immobilzed, and eventually scuttled by the British in the fall of 1946. This kit features new hull parts to build a full-hull model of the Takao as she appeared in 1944 (waterline version not possible). A stand is included.
