Previously a company that did the resin casting of kits for other manufacturers, Aki has stormed onto the scene as a maker themselves with this brilliant rendering of a US escort carrier. Without exaggeration, I've never seen finer and sharper detail in a resin kit; this is on par with the finest Tamiya & Pit-Road offerings, and far better than the injection kits from some other firms! Even the tiniest little antennas are provided as crisply-molded parts (I cannot figure out how they got them out of the mold without breaking them!). Highly recommended.
