This is an incredible kit produced by the skillful president of Aki Works, a man with a true artisan's spirit. This tiny (55mm long) model has every detail you would expect on large 1/35 scale models. The molds are extremely fine and crisp; all the rivets on the turret and hull are reproduced perfectly. Thinly-molded wheels have the right shape and are precise concentric circles. Most amazing is the mesh cover of the exhaust pipe, perfectly molded -- handle carefully, or risk damaging the openwork! Part of the gearbox and engine is included, and when the model is completed, can be seen through the open hatches. There is no distorsion and warp of the type usually seen on resin kits of this size; that is the proof of the expertise of casting techniques, using strict temperature control with the rubber molds. Belt-type tracks are made of soft black rubber-resin, perfect for showing off the natural sag of tracks. Several sets of decals for IJA and IJN Landing Force are included. Compare this little masterpiece to injection plastic kits of the same scale!
