The M88A1G is the German Army's 1985 upgrade of the M88A1 Recovery Vehicle. Produced in the US and based on the M48 Patton tank chassis, this rugged recovery vehicle can tow up to 45 tons and lift up to 25 tons with its A-frame crane boom.
AFV Club has re-released their excellent M88 Recovery Vehicle as a modern German Army M88A1G version of this powerful machine, complete with upgraded crane boom and other features. Belt-style cementable tracks are included, as are a nice fret of photo-etched parts and twine for all those recovery cables. Markings included for three Bundeswehr (German Army) vehicles.
