Product Description
This item is a educational construction kit assembled from various materials (plastic, metal, etc.).  Click here for sizing chart.
Here's something you don't see every day! This quality kit provides wood and brass parts to construct a 1/72-scale replica of Leonardo da Vinci's famous concept of an "airscrew" type of propeller-driven vehicle, which he designed in the early 1480s. Impractical as it may be--there was no way indicated to prevent the entire craft from rotating along with the propeller--this early aeronautical artifact is a thing of beauty in its own right. The propeller is designed to rotate, powered by an AA-size battery (included). Illustrated instructions are included, with text in both Japanese and English; some skill and patience will definitely be needed for assembly, but once you're finished, you'll have a beautiful and unique item to display in your home. It would be an excellent gift, too, for someone who's always inspired you!
