This item is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit. It requires both cement and painting to complete or use.
Here's an all-new-tool Me262 from Academy, with some very interesting options! For starters, this kit will build into an A-1a or A-1a Jabo aircraft (bomb racks and bombs are included). Further, R4M rockets for under the wings as well as W.Gr.21 rocket tubes for under the nose are included. Finally, two separate tails are included, one with a cutout in the rudder and large pipe running underneath. Yup, you can build the rocket-engine-equipped C-1a! The level of detail is uniformly high, with the main wheel bay correctly represented as a large opening through which the underside of the cockpit tub is visible. The cockpit, landing gear and engines are all very well done. Panel lines are fine and recessed.
Markings cover an impressive range of options, although you will need to do some research on your own as to which versions had which armament combination. The markings are for:
A-1a Black Chevron of III./JG7
C-1a V186 as test flown by Heinz Baer
A-1a Jabo B3+BR of 7./KG(J)54
A-1a Yellow 7 flown by Heinz Arnold
"Ginny H" flown by "Watson's Whizzers" of the USAAF
Captured A-1a "FE-111" as seen post-war in the US
A-1a Red 13 of Heinz Baer, III./EJG2
