Trumpeter follows up the release of its great KV tank series with the release of the monstrous KV-2 as a "beutepanzer" (literally "trophy tank," meaning a captured vehicle). Modified by the Germans with a Panzer III cupola and rear storage racks for additional 152mm main gun ammo and fuel cans, this version makes an interesting comparison piece to the original Russian version, particularly in its German standard three-tone camo. The kit is sharply molded in light gray plastic, with the tracks being supplied as either link-and-length styrene parts (with molded-in sag) or flexible one-piece belts.
