Tamiya completes their superb series of Tiger I kits with the early version, which first appeared in 1942. Kit includes belt-type tracks instead of the individual links seen in earlier versions of the kit -- this really boosts ease of assembly for those not interested in super-detailed tracks. Numerous optional parts are included: two types of gun shields, air cleaners, drive sprockets, and more to allow you to build six different variations of the tank. Includes a commander figure posed with both hands on the cupola in a black uniform. Markings are for Michael Wittman and other famous Tiger commanders' tanks.
This release of the kit includes an Aber detail set with photo-etched metal parts and metal barrel.
