1/6 Gandalf

From Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy comes this fantastic vinyl kit of that wise and kind wizard, Gandalf the Grey (and later "the White")! This unassembled and unpainted vinyl kit from Star Toys of Germany features a great sculpt that really captures the likeness of actor Sir Ian McKellan. The base features a nameplate with a cool Middle-Earthian font. Hat is removable. Parts are ready to assemble; no trimming is required.

As with most vinyl kits, HLJ recommends filling the base and lower section of the model with plaster or other material to keep the vinyl from sagging in warm environments. Two types of vinyl are used in this kit. Although good results can be had using normal cyanoacrylate glues ("super glue"), for an unbreakable bond between the two types of vinyl, epoxy glue is recommended. Illustrated instructions are included in English and German.
