This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The French battleship Richelieu was planned as a larger, modern version of the Dunkerque-class battleships. The ship was not even completed when France surrendered to Germany in 1940, but she later joined the Allied forces and was finally completed in New York in 1943. After serving with the Allies in the Atlantic and Pacific, she was present in Tokyo Bay for the signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender on September 2, 1945.
This Pit-Road model is the result of another great collaboration with Trumpeter. A full-hull or waterline model, the kit represents the Richelieu as she appeared in 1943, after being completed in New York. Includes a nice dry-dock style stand with nameplate for the full-hull version.
