1/35 M4 High Speed Tractor for 155mm, 8inch, 240mm Towe

With production starting in March of 1943, 5,552 M4 High Speed Tractors were built by June of 1945. This version of the 18-ton tractor was used as the prime mover for towing the 155mm gun, 8-inch gun, and 240mm Howitzers (or so says the box...some sources indicate it was only intended to tow the 155mm and 8-inch Howitzers).

Hobby Boss continues to release high-quality kits of interesting subjects with this, their second version of the M4 High Speed Tractor. The parts are sharply molded in olive drab plastic, with a nice fret of photo-etched metal detail parts, lengths of twine and chain, and self-adhesive masks for the windows all included. The rubber chevron tracks are nicely rendered as flexible belts, and decals are included for one vehicle. Figures and towed gun are not included.
