This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Limited reissue of the Hasegawa 1/72 scale AV-8B Harrier II kit with decals to mark it as either of two aircraft: CG 03 of VMA-231 "Ace of Spades" or VL 07 of VMA-331 "Bumblebees". See box photo or art for marking details.

Note from an old Harrier mech:while not stated in the instructions, the light gray belly of the VMA-331 Harrier was only applied to the first few production aircraft, and was painted over by the squadron at the first repaint. By mid- to late-1986, all VMA-331 Harriers were painted the same as the scheme given for the VMA-231 plane. Either is correct, your choice. Also note that the VMA-331 aircraft would not have had the aft cockpit entrance step (the one in the intake) so cut the diagonal stripe leading to it off decal number 14. If you want to be fussy, fill in that step as well!
