This is an item of stationery (paper or writing goods), or other small merchandise such as good-luck charms, mascot straps, et cetera.
Make your own beautiful stickers with this Pretty Cure Sticker Party set! Includes the sticker maker itself (you roll the sticker "ingredients" through it), a sticker mounting roll, a transparent roll, a roll cassette, a setup plate, two sheets of the sticker "materials" themselves, and the instructions sheet (unfortunately in Japanese only!).
Note from Katrina: Okay, so I got one of these 'cos they're cute and I can't resist cute, plus I like stickers, and making cute stickers is irresistible! So I went through the instructions and they're pretty simple; but for people who can't read Japanese I'll lay them out the best I can:
Check to make sure you've got everything -- a small yellow roller (this will actually be stuck inside the second part, a roll of clear plastic film), a roll of sticker backing, a pink "roll cassette", a yellow setup plate, the sticker maker machine itself, and two sheets of printed sticker images.
Turn the sticker maker machine away from you (so that the round pink knob is facing to your left) and make sure the cutter knob (the tiny round knob at the back) is pulled all the way to the left.
Hold the pink roll cassette as shown in the illustration in the instructions, and remove the end cap from the right-hand side; insert the sticker backing roll as shown (push it in all the way) and push the end cap in until it snaps securely. You might want to unfasten the bit of tape holding the roll together, during this procedure, and pull it through the opening of the roll cassette.
Turn the sticker making machine to face you (so the pink knob is to the right), and slide the roll cassette (now with the sticker backing roll inserted) into the sticker making machine as shown in the illustration in the instructions. Make sure the sticker backing slides under the two yellow guides, then push it until it reaches the rollers at the back of the sticker maker. Now when you turn the knob (with the knob to your left, you should turn the knob forward), the rollers should catch the sticker backing and pull it through to the other side of the machine.
Peel away the end of the roll of clear film (the part with a bunch of arrows points to the end and isn't, in fact, the end of the film, as I found!), and stick about 2-3 cm of the film to the yellow setup plate as shown in the instructions. Since the film is already on the roller, you don't need to stick the film on the roller.
Turn the roll "upside-down", still stuck to the setup plate, as shown in the instructions, and set the roller ends into the grooves on the sticker maker machine, as shown in the illustrations.
Pull at the roll of clear film until you have enough of it that you can flip over the setup plate and set it against the rollers (where you stuck the sticker backing sheet before).
With the pink knob to your left, turn the knob forward and roll it until the setup plate is completely through the rollers.
Slide the little pink cutter knob from left to right to slice through both the sticker backing sheet and the transparent film.
Now you're ready to make stickers!
Use the pre-printed stickers included with the set, or put your favourite photos or little drawings on the flat part in front of the rollers, then turn the pink knob to roll them through -- the clear film will stick them to the sticker backing sheet, and will also protect them! Cut around them with scissors in any shape you want (even pinking shears!) -- with parental supervision, of course! -- then peel off the backing and stick them wherever you'd like!
