Description
This is an injection-plastic model kit of a scene or item related to the culture of Japan.
This scene has a very late Edo, early Meiji period feel to it. It even comes with thatching for the roof! Molded in green and reddish-brown plastic, this 1/60-scale Boat House kit comes with its own real grass--a mixture of timothy and clover! Wet the kit's mat, sprinkle it with the provided seeds, keep it moist, and soon you'll have a small patch of grass. It won't last forever, of course, but you may be able to find replacement mats at your local gardening store, and you can start over again.
This is one of the entries in Kawai Shokai's series of kits of Japanese buildings, stores, and locations that allows you to recreate Japanese landscapes--it's just like being here! (If you're about 2 inches tall, anyway.) From Edo period sights to relatively modern ones, the wide variety of entries allows you to design the layout of your choice (after taking varying scales into account).
