A danjiri is a large, colorful, and ornately decorated wagon-like cart built in the shape of a temple or shrine, used in festivals throughout Japan. The most famous of these festivals is the dynamic and often dangerous Kishiwada Danjiri Festival, held in September in the town of Kishiwada, Osaka Prefecture.
This fully completed model of a Danjiri Garage is finely crafted of plywood. The roof is not affixed to the structure, being removable to allow viewing of a danjiri inside (a danjiri is not included with this model.)
