All-Japan Mokei Hobby Show 2010: Bandai (Part 2)
This year was the fantastic 50th edition of the All-Japan Mokei ("Model") Hobby Show! Held October 14-17 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, it focused on hobby products being released this fall and winter.
Next up is a look at Bandai's non-Gundam plastic models.

In this facsimile edition of the old Imai "Macross" kits, nearly all are 1/72 except the Destroid Monster, which is 1/200 scale (the same scale as Nichimo's Peter Pan Series kits, actually).

The Destroid Spartan features a gun cluster hatch that can be opened and closed.

Fantastic nostalgic packaging for this series of kits!

1/500 Space Battleship Yamato (December release; 6,800 yen)

Aside from the release date, this kit doesn't seem related to the version in the upcoming live-action movie.

The main guns will have impressive swiveling action, thanks to a built-in gear gimmick.

Digimon Reboot Omegamon (November release; 3,800 yen)

This illustration sums up the Master Grade-version Digimon kit concept.

MG Figurerise Monkey D Luffy (October release; 3,800 yen)
Non-scale Going Merry (December release; 3,800 yen)

This model sailing ship promises to be full of surprises!

The "Kamen Rider W" MG Figurerise branch will continue with Skull (left) in January and FangJoker in February.

A kit of LBX Achilles from "Danbol Senki" is planned for Spring 2011.

Okay, we lied, there's a little bit more Gundam...From "SD Gundam BB Senshi Sangokuden," Sousou and Ryuubi will power up!

Bandai's booth also held one of the show's most surprising announcements: two different kits, the largest about 90cm high, of the Tokyo Sky Tree! How popular it will be outside Japan remains to be seen, but these kits are sure to be impressive.
