Zvezda jumps right into their first 1/48 aircraft release with a stunning model of the LA-5FN. This kit is simply loaded with detail, and can be built to show it all off with separate cowl panels left off to reveal a very complete engine assembly. The cockpit is similarly well-detailed, and the surface detail accurately reflects the wood construction of the prototype. Markings are given for three aircraft: "01" of the 5th Guard fighter regiment, "68" of the 1st Regiment, and "25" of the 19th Fighters Regiment.
