1/350 US CV-13 Franklin

This astounding ship and her crew survived a great deal of damage done to them by armor-piercing bombs dropped by a Japanese plane in 1945; despite physical damage, fires and exploding ammunition, the loss of radio communications and the deaths of 724 crew, the remaining crew held together and with a little help the Franklin was ultimately able to limp her way to Brooklyn, NY. She earned no less than four battle stars for her service in World War II. Trumpeter's kit of this carrier reproduces the Franklin as she was launched in 1944. With a total of 734 plastic parts (on 29 sprues), this kit can be built as a waterline version or full hull version; 20 aircraft with clear canopies are included (four each of Dauntless, Hellcat, Avenger, Corsair, and Helldiver). Decals for external markings are included, as is a display stand with name plate. Finished kit measures 77.5 cm long and 12.5 cm wide.
