Assembly Guide:Skill LevelCement (Y/N)Paint (Y/N)
Product Overview:This item is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit. It requires both cement and painting to complete or use. 639 parts. 38.7cm long when completed.

First flown in 1937 and the best bomber Britain had at the outset of WWII, the Wellington went on to prove itself as one of the outstanding aircraft of the war. It could absorb enormous amounts of punishment, due in large part to its unique geodetic construction, which is clearly reproduced on both the exterior and interior of this new Trumpeter release (although this detail may be just a tad overstated on the exterior as compared to reference pictures).

With 639 parts in the box, you can be sure there's plenty of detail inside and out. The cockpit, fuselage interior, engines, and wheel wells all receive their fair share of detail parts. Main landing gear and tail wheel struts are cast in metal, and the instrument panel is rendered with the familiar film sandwich technique. Ailerons, flaps, rudders, and elevators are all positionable, and some are movable (no fidgety PE hinges to deal with here). Bomb bay can be built closed (one nice big piece) or open (30 small pieces!). If you do choose the parts-intensive doors-open option, you'll have plenty of ordnance to fill the bay with, since the kit comes with parts for A LOT of bombs, with sizes ranging from 250 to 2,000 pounds. Marking options are included for two aircraft: P KO of 115 Sq. RAF and L KW of 425 Sq. RCAF. A much-needed British entry in the 1/48-scale bomber arena!
