A whopping injection plastic kit of the famous World War II fighter. This is the Model 21, the second major production of the Zero Fighter, modified for naval use with folding wing tips and a tail hook.

Trumpeter has reproduced this great fighter in superb fashion, with a total of 193 sharply-detailed plastic parts on 9 sprues, rubber tires, photo-etched detail for the aileron and flap hinges, engine detail, sprung landing gear, and working folding wings. Included is a clear plastic instrument panel with photo film backing for the dials. Decals are included for the Akagi 2nd squadron 2 section, number 1 A.C., which spearheaded the Pearl Harbour attack (and in fact most of Japan's Pacific conquests). Completed length is 38 cm (approximately 15 inches), and wingspan is approximately 50 cm (about 20 inches).
