The latest RN offering from Trumpeter, this Sea Fury marks a return to the level of detail seen in their 1/72 Wyvern, which is a Very Good Thing. There are some ejector pin marks in the wheelwells which will need to be addressed, but other than that, the kit looks outstanding. The cockpit and landing gear are nicely done, the wings can be built folded or extended, and in a twist from previous 1/72 Sea Fury kits, the engine cowl is a five-piece assembly (two halves, cooling fan face representation, and separate exhaust pieces) which when built up should offer a much better representation of the Sea Fury's multi-port exhaust than has been the case in kits to date--properly scaled and realistically three-dimensional. Underwing stores are included in the form of underwing fuel tanks and rockets. Clear lenses are supplied for the formation and landing lights. Markings are provided for WJ232, O/114 of 802 Sq. off the HMS Ocean in 1952 as well as WE683, ST/109 of 1831 Sq. in 1953.
