1/16 T-34/76 Model 1943

Trumpeter steps forward to reproduce the mechanisms of fighting machines in a massive scale. Their first choice is the Russian T-34 series, an epoch invention in the tank history. This set reproduces the 76mm gun type with hard edged hexgonal turret and so-called "Mickey Mouse" hatches on top of it. The 421mm long x188mm wide x164mm tall model contains all details! The efficient Christie type independent suspension which ensures the agility of the T-34 is actually loaded with metal coil springs and is workable. Two types of large road wheels are included; the rubber rimmed type is made with soft plastic tires. Wide track links are the individual workable type made of ABS plastic. The famous V-2 diesel engine which ensures operation in harsh winter cold is especially detailed with its distinctive sirocco fan, and of course the power train and cooling system are represented, too. The same kind of reproduction has been done in the drivers' and fighting compartments. Many of the visible pipes and electric cables are made with separate parts. The 76mm tank gun has aiming sights and its elevate/traverse mechanism. Everything you can find in a cutaway illustration of T-34 is modelled in 3D here! Modelers will notice how their eyes are so used to 1/35 scale, that every part will seem extra large (the turret hatch diameter is 30mm!). Fair modelling skill is required to complete this kit, but the effort will be worth it to have this excellent model of tank automotive design on your desk. Photo-etched set included.
