1/35 C1 Ariete MBT w/Additional Armor

The C1 Ariete is Italy's latest MBT, armed with a 120mm L/44 gun and fitted with laminated/spaced armor. It was developed in the late 1980s but due to financial concerns was not deployed until the late 1990s. Although not quite as powerful as the US M1A2 or German Leopard 2A5/A6, it still has all the standard features of current third-generation MBTs.

Trumpeter's kit of the up-armored version of the Ariete features very crisp moldings and sharp detail. Slide mold technology is used to reproduce the finer details on the sides of the turret and machine gun. Tracks are of the rubber-belt type. Includes metal wires for the the tow cables, clear plastic parts for the periscopes, and markings for two vehicles stationed in Iraq. No figures are included.
