The LAV-AD (Light Armored Vehicle-Air Defense) is an all-terrain, eight-wheeled AFV. With its turret-mounted GAU-12/U 25mm Gatling gun and Stinger missiles, it has the capability to counter threats by low-altitude fixed and rotary winged aircraft, while also able to provide ground defense against light armored forces.
Trumpeter's kit of the LAV-AD is sharply molded in light gray styrene with black vinyl tires. Includes a fret of photo-etched metal detail parts and die-cut masks for the big turret windows. Fantastic detail throughout, with particularly spectacular chassis detail. Markings are provided for two vehicles.
