1/35 Soviet KV-I 1942 Welding Turret

This russian tank brought a nightmare to the German infantry soldiers. Its thick armor bounced off the rounds from all the anti tank gun they equipped except famous 88mm gun. The model depicted the KV-1 produced in 1942 with the strengthened welded turret. Trumpeter show great progress in quality with this KV series. Hull sides armor plates are represented in one piece as realistic, not halved at the fender level line as the classic motorized kit was. Moldings are very fine and highly detailed concerning the use of the PE parts from other source. Two type of tracks are prepared. One is black rubber band type but has molds on both sides. The other is partially linked injection plastic one. The upper half run of the tracks was molded with a natural sag. Transparent parts are presented for the lights. No figure included. But optional gun mantlet parts for KV-8 flame thrower tank is included. Decal set is for the famous "No mercy" tank.
