1/35 Italian Army MBT C1 Ariete

The C1 Ariete is Italy's latest MBT with a 120mm L/44 gun and laminated/spaced armor. It was developed in the late 1980's but due to financial concerns was not deployed until the late 1990's. It's not powerful like the US M1A2 or German Leo2A5/A6, but it has the standard features of the third generation MBT. Trumpeter modelized this tank with a modest number of parts. Moldings are very crisp and give a good overall impression. They also used sliding molds to reproduce the finer details on the sides of the turret and machine gun. Tracks are of the rubber belt type. No figure included. Good addition to your collection of modern MBTs from minor countries.
