This is the display kit version of Tamiya's motorized Yamato (TAM78002). The completed model measures approximately 75cm long and 11cm wide. Very large and highly detailed! This model depicts her last figure seen at the voyage for Okinawa equipped with extra AA guns. With the latest info available (developed in 1979), it cleared up many points not known or doubted for many years with the past model kits: shape of the stern & bow, bridge basement and aircraft hanger etc., Of course, every part is highly detailed. Even the boat davits and many single 20mm AA guns are represented in the individual parts.
