1/48 Ki-46III Type 100 Command Recon Plane (Dinah)

This is truly an interesting aircraft. The more I looked at it there on display, the more I liked it. This fast, sleek, twin-engined bird has perhaps the most aesthetically-pleasing lines of any WWII plane, and performance so good that the Luftwaffe negotiated (unsuccessfully) for the production rights. During the war, even some U.S. pilots were said to have referred to it as "Dinah with the nice linah." A compact bird, the plane isn't that much larger than the big Double Wasp-powered U.S. fighters. The kit includes both kinds of props and spinners that were actually used on the Dinah, and features two figures. New colorful markings are included for three aircraft.
