1/48 Republic F-84G Thunderjet

Tamiya sure knows how to make an ordinary-looking plane into an eye-catching model! This latest kit in their 1/48 aircraft series is of the late-model F-84G, with the perforated air brake. This kit is loaded with options for the builder: Nose gun access panel can be modeled open or closed. Wingtip fuel tanks can be included or left off. Drop tanks or bombs can be mounted on underwing hardpoints. Flaps can be raised or lowered. Cockpit can be opened or closed. JATA unit can be attached to rear fuselage. Includes pilot figure and boarding ladder. Also comes with ballast for the nose, but provides a support brace that can be attached to the underside to prevent tail-sitting for those who don't like weighing down their models.
