Tamiya follows up their 1/72 Seiran with the floatless land-based version. Just two of these aircraft were produced as two-seat trainers for the seaplane. Without the big floats, the plane didn't need the large tail fin, and the folding upper section was removed.
Tamiya has included this in their "Warbird Collection" line-up of kits (which are Italeri tooling in Tamiya boxes), but this kit is definitely not from Italy! Absolutely superb detail everywhere.
