The M2A2 Bradley is the Infantry Fighting Vehicle of the US Ground Forces, which improved its armor protection with additional steel armor before fighting in the Gulf War in 1991. The M2A2 ODS is the version deployed beginning in 1996, which strengthened its electronics to match the needs of the digitized battle field of the 21st Century. Tamiya had released a kit of the M2A2 (TAM35152) after the war. This time, they studied the pictures from Iraq seen through the media, and have given the model all the updated features they saw there. All the changes, such as the shape of the exhaust cover, improved 25mm gun barrel, new track shoe pattern and the subtle change of the armor plate's shape are caught perfectly. Tamiya also did not forget to add "life details" to the model; lots of bags and sleeping mat rolls which dressed up the vehicle's sides are included. Also, the conspicuous CIP panels (which act as a thermal sign board to signify "friend-or-foe" to friendly attack air craft pilots, to prevent fratricide) are included, too. Excellent moldings as usual. Tracks are of the rubber belt type. Six sets of decals; three are of the 3rd. Infantry Div.(Mech) which fought in Iraq. Two new figures (half-bodied) are included.
