Re-issue of this kit from Tamiya. This is the later version of the KV-1 heavy tank. Because of the larger anti-tank weapons being fielded by the Germans the Soviets added applique armor by bolting it onto the front and sides of the chassis and body. The front armor of the turret was 120mm thick!
This is an older kit from Tamiya and was originally produced when motorization was key. The chassis still has the holes in the bottom for the motor and switch. Otherwise the detail of this piece rivals many modern kits.
