This series of 1/48 tanks was produced in the early 1970's as a kit and grew popular among elementary school-aged children who were not rich enough to buy 1/35 motorized or remote controlled tanks. Tamiya has reproduced these nice tanks as finished, painted and marked models -- with built-in FA-130 motors, this time!! The endless reel rubber tracks ensure a powerful run. Just insert two 1.5V R6/AA/UM3 batteries (not included) and enjoy. Series No.1 is the M60 tank, the Main Battle Tank of US. Army in early 1960's. Rather well known as the "Patton" tank!
