1/48 Volkswagen Type 82E German Army Finished Model

It's hard to believe that a car that was actually in production as late as 2003 is a "World War II military item," but that's the case with the incredible Volkswagen Beetle, or in this case, the "Type 82E." While prototypes of the Beetle were seen as early as 1935, it wasn't until 1945 that production for civilian consumption began, but a few German Army elite got Beetles during the war (about 500 were produced), and this is that model.

This is Tamiya's completed version of their excellent Type 82E kit, fully assembled and masterfully painted. The die-cast chassis gives it the heft of quality, and the wheels roll. But this is no toy! The detail is fantastic! Ready to display.
