The British Cromwell tank was a high-speed medium "Cruiser" tank. Its development was finalized late in the war, by which time Sherman tanks had become the mainstay of Commonwealth armored divisions. The Cromwell found its place, however, in a reconnaissance role, and did an excellent job there.

Tamiya continues to expand its line of pre-assembled, pre-finished models with the release of the Cromwell. Fully built, painted, marked, and lightly weathered, the model comes mounted on a black plastic base with nameplate.
