In celebration, they have chosen to re-release their first ever 1/12 scale motorcycle kit -- the Yamaha YZR500 Grand Prix Racer. Naturally, Tamiya's excellent production quality ensures that the YZR500 is reproduced perfectly, down to an incredible level of accuracy. The four-cylinder, two-stroke, water-cooled 500cc engine is mounted in a twin loop square section frame; the unique cowling protrudes slightly over the rear wheel. Cartograf has produced all-new decals to perfect an already-superb model! It's an oldie but a goodie still; compare it to Tamiya's more recent models to see how far technology has come!
