Assembly Guide:Skill LevelCement (Y/N)Paint (Y/N)
Product Overview:This item is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit. It requires both cement and painting to complete or use.

The He112 was designed to the same German specification that led to the Bf109. In fact, the two were rivals for the contract to be the Luftwaffe's next fighter. In the event, the 109 prototypes beat the 112 prototypes, but Heinkel continued to develop the 112. The resulting He112B was easily on par with the early 109s, however except for a few aircraft impressed into service in the late-30s the type saw little German service. Instead, it was exported to neighboring countries where it was snatched up as the various air forces tried to get better equipment with which to replace their old biplanes. This kit features fine recessed panel lines and a high level of detail for such a small kit. No photoetch or resin here, just a vacuform canopy and injected plastic parts. Two styles of cowl side panels are included, pay attention to the build instructions for the variant you wish to build. Decals are for two aircraft: He112B-1 in civil registration D-IYWI for export to Rumania and V3 O3 of the Hungarian Air Force in 1943 (pictured on box top). While RS Models are "short-run" kits, it is honestly hard to believe that looking at the parts. RS Models kits are easily on par with the major makers, and the detail provided will make them really stand out, over the old Heller kits.
