An all-new-tool 1/72 model of Europe's answer to the C-130. This kit is absolutely packed with details, from the complete flight deck to the full cargo hold interior. If it is in the real aircraft, then it seems to be represented here! Ladders, harnesses, stanchions -- the attention to detail is really impressive. And since the tail ramp and side crew door can be positioned open, none of that detail will go to waste! Also, there appears to be a side cargo door that could, with a little modification, be posed open. (Read the instructions carefully, as there are a lot of decals on the walls of the cargo hold but this isn't pointed out until after the assembly instructions have you put everything together!) The landing gear is also highly detailed and can be assembled extended or retracted. Markings are given for German and French aircraft, and there are differences in antenna fit (both styles are provided on the sprues), so there is another reason to pay attention to the instructions! Markings are provided on a massive decal sheet for five options: 50+96 of Lufttransport Geschwader 61 in special markings to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the unit; 51+09, also of LTG 61; 50+42 of LTG 63; 51-01 of LTG 62; and 64-GQ of 64eme Escadre de Transport ET 2/62 "Anjou."
