1/700 USN CV-14 Ticonderoga
Code: PITW-98 Series: SkyWave![]() |
Pit-Road's CV-14 Ticonderoga brings to 1/700 scale a magnificent kit of the famous WWII aircraft carrier. Initially named Hanccock, her name was changed to Ticonderoga prior to launching, and she was commissioned on May 8, 1944. The Ticonderoga saw action in the Philippines, South China Sea, and southern Japanese islands, earning five battle stars for her service in WWII. She served decades more after the war, finally being decommissioned on September 1, 1973.
Finely molded in gray styrene, this kit can be built as either a full-hull or waterline model, and comes with a nice clear blue ocean base if you go waterline and a sharp drydock-type stand if you go full-hull. Hangar deck details included. Includes a full complement of F6Fs, SB2Cs, and TBFs, all molded in clear plastic for enhanced canopy realism. Markings included for the Ticonderoga and all aircraft.
