1/700 USN Mount Whitney 1997 w/Photo-Etched

Though designed as an Amphibious Command Ship, state of the art command and communications systems promoted this ship to the position of fleet flagship -- the LCC-20 Mount Whitney is the command ship of the 2nd Fleet. This injection plastic kit comes with options for a full-hull or waterline model. Pit-Road has chosen to replicate her as she appeared in 1997 for this release. There are rather few parts to this ship, but don't forget that it's had lots of antennae installed on its flat deck after its refit. Two CIWS are the only weapons on this warship. This special release also includes a comprehensive fret of photo-etched parts.
