Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The largest warships in the world (excepting aircraft carriers), the Russian Navy's 'Kirov'-class cruisers are both nuclear- and steam-propelled (the nuclear power is used for cruising, while a combination of nuclear and steam propulsion is used for acceleration). Originally intended to be anti-submarine vessels, the Kirov design was modified to allow these cruisers to provide air support, engage surface ships, and to act as anti-submarine naval defense. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the Frunze was renamed 'Admiral Lazarev' and remains under that name today. Pit-Road has collaborated with Trumpeter Models to produce this beautifully-detailed injection plastic kit of this huge cruiser. Excellent decal sheet provides markings for the Soviet Navy Frunze, and the Russian Navy Admiral Lazarev; the choice is yours!
