This item is a ship model kit assembled from parts made of resin, white metal, photo-etched metal and possibly other materials.  Click here for sizing chart.
A resin assembly kit of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force Oyashio-class submarine, with decals for what must be all the boats in the class. And here they are: Oyashio, Michishio, Uzushio, Makishio, Isoshio, Narushio, Kurushio, Takashio, Yaeshio, Setoshio, and Mochishio. That's a whole lot of shio! (In Japanese, "shio" can mean "tide," "current," or "salt water," so there's your connection to submarines!)
