Construction of Hirosaki castle was completed in 1611, however, a lightning strike in 1627 destroyed the main keep, which was not rebuilt until 1810 This magazine features scores of color pictures of the castle, maps of the area, and descriptions of events that took place there and important people associated with this beautiful piece of history.
