The famous Wolf Pack U-Boat of WWII! Christened U 511 in 1941, this German Type IX U-Boat was transferred to Japan in 1943, where it was re-christened Ro 500 Satsuki. It was then captured by the Allies in 1945, and finally scuttled in 1946.
Nichimo's kit has been around for a very long time, so the tooling is not quite up to modern standards. The kit is designed for motorization (motor and batteries not included), which of course doesn't help the accuracy of the shapes and dimensions of the kit. All that said, it'll still build into a decent U-Boat model with a bit of extra effort.
