This kit of Kyoto's famed Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji) and pond is molded in green, dark and light brown, gray, white and gold plastic, and comes with its own real grass--white clover! Wet the kit's mat, sprinkle it with the provided seeds, keep it moist, and soon you'll have a small patch of grass. It won't last forever, of course, but you may be able to find replacement mats at your local gardening store, and you can start over again. The Golden Pavilion is one of the must-see sights in Japan, and now you can have one of your very own!
This is one of the entries in Kawai Shokai's series of kits of Japanese buildings, stores, and locations that allows you to recreate Japanese landscapes--it's just like being here! (If you're about 2 inches tall, anyway.) From Edo period sights to relatively modern ones, the wide variety of entries allows you to design the layout of your choice (after taking varying scales into account).
