Build your very own 1/60 scale funayado--a building, usually riverside, that might be an inn or a restaurant. These days you see them most often, in Tokyo at least, down in Shinagawa, where tourists board old-fashioned sight-seeing boats called yakatabune. This kit is molded mostly in light and dark brown, and includes colored powder (brown), a weeping willow, and printed materials for creating the windows and other details.
This is the seventh entry in Kawai Shokai's Fuubutsushi series (fuubutsushi refers to things that remind you of certain seasons). The series includes Japanese buildings, stores, and locations that allow you to recreate Japanese landscapes--it's just like being here! (If you're about 2 inches tall, anyway.) From Edo period sights to relatively modern ones, the wide variety of entries allows you to design the layout of your choice (after taking varying scales into account).
